This is a really long scarf that is in a rich red chenille, and amazingly is knitted on just 3 stitches - I've also knitted a wider scarf for when it is really cold.
The long loops along the scarf mean that when you loop it round your neck it falls in lovely waterfalls, or if you use it as a long skinny it still has some interest.
I had a few balls of textured wool that I just knitted in plain - again sorry the picture is awful, but the colours in real life are great, cream, raspberry, dusky pink, grey and dark cherry. It is so warm and snuggly I'm hoping for some snow as I think I will swelter otherwise.
It's funny but like Diana http://pebble-dash.blogspot.com/2008/09/off-with-old-on-with-new.html I only tend to knit in the winter, during the summer months my needles just sit collecting dust, and then as soon as the weather begins to change I have a mad panic about getting things finished. I wonder if others are the same.
p.s. can anyone tell me how to add a link without having the whole string show up please?

Sorry K, the link thing wouldn't even work for me yesterday, so I can't be of any help. Your scarves look great, and yep, winters the time to be all snuggly inside knitting and scrapbooking etc, who wants to be covered in balls of wool when you could be outside gardening in the lovely weather over summer! I always feel guilty scrapbooking over summer when it's beautiful outside.
Hello. To do the link you click on the link motif in the menu bar (where you also have the upload icon) and it usually brings up a bar at the top asking for permission for pop ups or something. Accept this then highlight the bit you want linked (i.e. the name 'Diana'); click on the link icon again and put the url in the box that appears then click 'ok'. It should then just make the name 'Diana' appear highlighted and linkable in your blog> Lor' that made no sense!!!! Sorry, but it might work! x
Hi Kim, lovely knitting and autumnal colours. Pipany has answered your question...but email me if it doesn't work and I'll try and help. Bit dead on my feet tonight as just back from time away visiting my family.

Thank you Pipany and Diana - I'll try that next time.

I love these projects, that berry scarf is particularly beautiful.
Thanks for stopping by before our time. You made some excellent points.
