Sorry I've been away

I thought I would just pop in to say that I am still around.

Unfortunately I succumbed to the lurgy that has been doing the rounds, darling No 2 son shared his with me so that I wouldn't feel left out!.....suffice to say I have been feeling awful, have had to take time off work and have not been able to make, bake or blog.

I am now so behind with my christmas preparations that I am having to run about like a lunatic trying to keep up, I even ventured into that dreaded place.......town.....to buy a couple of presents and some cards as I know I won't have time to complete all the projects I have started, still looking on the bright side I am a little bit ahead for 2009!

A couple of good things have happened, the lovely Clare at Vintage Home sent me a lovely mouse mat as although I hadn't won her 100th post giveaway, I had managed a very close guess of what was in her box, which I will photograph and show when I have a bit more time. Secondly No 1 son passed his driving test yesterday, we had been worried as it had been rather frosty, but the lad did good!

I'll sign out now and get on with some knitting.

Glad to see you back - and so sorry to hear you've been unwell. I seem to have escaped the worst of it for now, even though both kids had it. It's awful, knowing you've got all that catching up to do, isn't it ... but, at the end of the day, it will get done, one way or another - getting well is more important!

Well done to No 1 son for passing his test - now *he* can do the shopping for you!!!

I found your blogspot via Pipany, how relaxing it is, I love the pic of the lane, you're not surrounded by an awful lot of pheasants are you ?

Glad to hear you are feeling better. They are so many horrible bugs around at the moment. Keep warm and don't catch another one.
